Job Title: Software Development Manager Contract Length: 12 months Client based in Dublin Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to represent our client and manage 2-3 software development teams on a 12-month contract basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the teams deliver high-quality software solutions on time and within budget, while maintaining a positive team culture and fostering collaboration across the different teams. Key Responsibilities: Manage 2-3 software development teams, ensuring they meet their objectives and deliver high-quality software solutions on time and within budget. Foster a positive team culture and promote collaboration between the different teams. Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop software solutions that meet their needs. Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and timelines to ensure the successful completion of projects. Monitor and report on project progress to stakeholders and senior management. Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, helping them to grow and develop their skills. Ensure adherence to software development best practices, including coding standards, testing methodologies, and version control. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members. Proactively identify and mitigate risks to project success. Continuously improve software development processes and methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. At least 5 years of experience managing software development teams. Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions on time and within budget. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Experience with agile development methodologies. Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or Asana. Familiarity with software development best practices, including coding standards, testing methodologies, and version control.
