My client is seeking a talented Test Lead who is passionate about Software Quality and has a proven track record leading effective QA teams. As an EBA Test Lead, this role will involve leading our Enterprise Business Applications (EBA) QA team for upcoming releases. Assessing the existing test strategy and approach being used by the EBA Delivery team and developing a plan to optimize this approach going forward will be a critical component of this work at first. A crucial requirement for this position is a track record of success in optimizing test strategy and approach overall. Roles & Responsibilities: Lead and oversee the EBA QA team, which is in charge of testing integrated systems and the policy administration system across various technologies and platforms. Using best practice techniques, oversee the entire systems test lifecycle for a number of concurrent projects. Along with the Test Environment Manager, plan and oversee ongoing improvements to the testing infrastructure while controlling costs, resources, and delivery dates. To increase test coverage and shorten execution times, identify and pursue opportunities for test excellence, including when and where to expand automated testing. Drive QA process improvements within the EBA QA team. Organize, prepare, and offer direction on the Business Acceptance Test approach, making sure there is adequate test coverage and no work is wasted with the FIT phase. With the goal of ensuring constant feedback, project delivery, and priority management, cultivate and maintain great connections with important internal and external stakeholders. Oversee and assist the team, providing coaching and mentoring to ensure they are motivated and have clear objectives. Make sure the team is adhering to the QA Best Practices, and closely coordinate with the QA Practice Lead to ensure that any EBA tooling or test methodologies are consistent with the QA strategy as a whole. Assist the QA planning and estimating for test activities for upcoming EBA releases. Assign work to the team in a demanding but effective approach to guarantee skill transfer and cross-functional competence to meet customer needs. Provide regular QA status updates to key EBA stakeholders. Monitor efficiency of resource use within the EBA QA team. Support regulatory/audit/security QA internally and with external partners as needed.Key Strengths: Proven ability to assess inefficiencies in testing strategies and the successful execution of the associated improvement initiatives Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise across multiple tasks to tight timelines and to coordinate cross teamwork. Excellent quality assurance skills and understanding of QA Best Practices. Proven ability leading effective QA teams. Strong communication skills and the ability to influence the Delivery Team on Software Quality best practices and ensuring testable high-quality software. Previous experience mentoring and providing guidance and support to the junior members of the team. Agile tester mindset and approach that has experience defining test approaches that maximise the Return in Investment from automation and enable Continuous Delivery.Technologies & Frameworks: Jira Java Selenium Confluence Test Rails Oracle / MS SQL ServerEssential Skills: Experience devising effective test strategies for complex systems Strong Web-application testing experience Expert at leading and managing a team of dispersed QA Engineers, supporting, and ensuring high quality and on-time consistent delivery of software Experience leading QA teams that consist of both manual and automation engineers Experience working closely with Automation team members to devise efficient test strategies leveraging automation to decrease the manual testing effort Proven ability to improve and refine on existing test strategies Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organisation and time-management skillsDeep understanding of modern QA tools and best practice standardsDesired Skills: Previous experience working in Financial Services.
