The Software Developer – ICT Specialist at Executive Officer level is an entry-level role. This competition offers you an opportunity to develop a career in ICT, working for one of a variety of organisations, including some of the largest organisations in the State. These roles will suit you if you are interested in developing a career in areas such as software and applications development (programming) including web applications and websites, mobile, UX, digital solutions and helping to deliver excellent digital services and user experience for citizens, businesses and users. Many of the candidates who were successful in recent competitions are now integral members of teams who are delivering critical projects of national importance and public prominence.

 

The panel formed from this competition will fill software developer vacancies across Civil Service organisations which include government departments and offices such as the Department of Social Protection/ Agriculture, the Revenue Commissioners, the Central Statistics Office and civil service roles in An Garda Síochána. 

Although most vacancies arising over the lifetime of the panel will be located in the wider Dublin area, a limited number of vacancies may also arise in some regional locations which may be filled from this panel.

 

Closing date: 3pm on Monday 30th January 2023
