The Opportunity In your role as an Agile Project Manager you will be exposed to vehicle engineering projects where we are evolving the automotive technology of the future. You will be expected to work with product management as well as engineering managers to provide leadership and direction to multiple software development Agile scrum teams. You must have a good working knowledge of Agile development methodologies to ensure project deliverables are met to the required software quality standards and program alignment. WHAT TO EXPECT Work with Product Management to identify the Project Schedule for the respective program while being mindful of the Agile way of working and monitoring progress with the teams, identify trends and escalate to the Program/Product Manager as required Collaborate with Program/Product Management to act as primary facilitator and coach during Program Events such as quarterly Project planning (PI planning) Work with Product Owners to create and maintain their component backlogs. Define and document Project Team PI Objectives in conjunction with the Product Manager and Technical Leadership Facilitate the resolution of Project Impediments both internal and external to the Project Lead a culture of data-driven development by ensuring timely and accurate data on program status is constantly available Preparing internal/external reports for the program gathering input from the relevant team leads and stakeholders Create and Monitor the program level databases (eg) JIRA, Confluence, Program Central, etc for accuracy and flag any discrepancies Generate and analyse program level performance indicators & produce metrics for inclusion in the program reports/dashboards Work with SQE to understand the processes to be adhered to and in turn ensure the teams are compliant Support SCM activities and assist in organising & tracking document reviews Help the Scrum Master and/or Facilitate Agile ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Retrospectives etc Ensure teams are focused on clear goals; lead the management of team interdependencies and remove/avoid impediments. Interaction with multiple diverse stakeholders both locally and across the JLR global sites will be expected WHAT YOU'LL NEED Experience in Agile & Software Project Management Knowledge of recognised project management methodologies - eg. - Agile, Lean, Waterfall Experience of managing projects & backlogs in tools such as Confluence & JIRA Experience in working across the full Software Development Life Cycle Ability to manage diverse teams and multiple priorities Experience in facilitating / leading large-scale innovation / planning workshops or similar events Obsessed with quality of delivered product Interpersonal skills, flexibility and focus on results/outcomes Oral and written communication Fluent knowledge of English
