Role Summary

Working as part a small team providing IT Support to a Project in Northern Ireland. This role will ensure server and switch deployments are carried out in line with clearly defined build instructions and site requirements. A key part of the role will be acting as a technical escalation point for the other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Deploy servers and switches in a variety of sites across Northern Ireland (travel required)• This will include the decommissioning and install of old and installation of new hardware and carrying out equipment audits.• Follow clearly defined installation guidelines and end user familiarisation on new equipment.• Set standards of excellent customer service and ensure other engineers follow them• Apply defined Asset Management process and procedures.• Ability to distribute tasks to team members, to act as escalation point to resolve ad-hoc installation issues.• Lead a small team and engage with project managers to establish effective shift patterns.• Work closely with the Company escalation points ensuring handover of issues and customer satisfaction is maintained during the rollout.

Essential Criteria

• Excellent experience in computer hardware and various windows operating systems. Particularly Windows Server 2012 and 2016• Good experience in a customer facing role preferably gained on a customer site.• Demonstrate the ability to lead and to work as part of a delivery team.• Demonstrate the ability to follow processes and documentation.• Good interpersonal and communication skills.• Experience in troubleshooting issues as they arise and working to an appropriate resolution.
