itContracting are seeking to recruit a Senior Business Analyst for our well established client in the Insurance Sector based in Carlow.
Summary:
The succesful candidate will work with other Business Analysts within agile methodology with the Product Owner & via cross business collaboration to define and document acceptance criteria ensuring solutions & software features delivered are of the highest quality.
Digital Strategy, Incubator & Advanced Analytics Team Summary:
The Digital Strategy & Incubator team provides thought leadership to inform digital business strategies and incubate next-gen cloud-based digital and analytical offerings. Drive ideas from concept to launch in a rapid fashion, taking smart risks on strategic and innovative offerings. Assemble solutions by building and integrating with a broader partner ecosystems of emerging tech start-ups and established companies.
The Digital Garage in Ireland is the engineering heart of our Clients Digital Strategy & Incubator organization. The Digital Garage in Ireland owns the delivery execution of the innovation pipeline in the form of rapid prototypes, Proof of Concepts, scaled deliveries and managing delivery teams internally and externally.
Some of our clients existing competencies include,
• Software stack for AI driven products
• DX for AI driven products (Discovery and POCs)
• Data-pipeline preparation for AI driven products
• Product Management for AI driven products
Must Have (core skills that will be focused on as part of daily job)
- Bachelors Degree preferred, or equivalent experience, especially working as part of an agile team
- Good analytical abilities with a logical, methodical approach & close attention to detail
- Innovative, outside-the-box thinker; with the ability to articulate & demonstrate their way of thinking
- Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrating a desire & ability to work effectively within a team & more broadly with others from a variety of backgrounds and areas across our business.
What do you need to be successful in this role?
- Collaboration with Product Owners, Business Architects, Software & Test Engineers, Scrum Master & Scrum Team, UX Resources, Business leaders & all other relevant Stakeholders
- Ensure Project Goals remain updated & aligned using the relevant applications & tools whilst understanding & maintaining the IT Delivery roadmap including but not limited to the following items:
- any changes & enhancements,
- adoption KPI’s,
- defining user stories & requirements,
- hierarchy of work items, including backlog items,
- process mapping including process improvements
- document change & change controls
- user acceptance testing criteria
- management & tracking of defects & potential hot-fixes
- Fully engage & leverage methodologies outlined in the relevant product/project area
- Demonstrate active engagement and sharing of practices in Business Analyst forums
- Evaluate functionality from third party/cloud solutions, identifying opportunities to meet business requirements & needs (ie: page layouts, workflows, reporting dashboards)
