itContracting are currently seeking applicants for a Cloud Engineer. This is a permanent position located with our client in Cork.
 
 

Requirements:

- An appropriate Level 8 under the NQAI Framework.
- 3+ years’ experience working in a VMWare virtualisation environment and/or virtual desktop environment.
- 3+ years’ experience of virtualisation management tools.
- 3+ years’ experience of VMWare vSphere and View environments.
- 3+ years’ experience of Veeam backup software.
- 3+ years’ experience of SAN technology, configuration, maintenance and monitoring.
- Experience of debugging log files.
- Knowledge of Microsoft DNS and DHCP configurations.
- Knowledge of basic TCP/IP networking.
- Knowledge of Linux OS and scripting.

 
Skills:

- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills and the ability to multi-task are essential.
- Self-development skills and the ability to take initiative to improve business processes or problems.
- The potential candidate should be self-motivated with an aptitude for creative problem-solving, along with the flexibility to adapt to new tools and techniques.
- The successful candidate must demonstrate an ability to learn and grow within this role and have excellent written, communication and research skills.
- Willingness and ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
- The successful candidate will be able to work individually and as part of a team.
