HIQA is recruiting for an ICT Procurement Officer to join its Information Directorate.

Knowledge and Experience The knowledge and experience that is essential to effectively meet the requirements of the role: 

 2 years direct experience in delivering various procurement requirements with an emphasis on IT related procurement. 

 Excellent documentation skills. 

 High attention to detail and compliance. 

 Strong tasks management skills. 

 Excellent contract management skills. 

 Ability to deal tactfully with vendors, suppliers, and contractors who provide a broad spectrum of products and services. 

 Must be able to learn, adapt, understand, and apply new technology requirements. 

 Customer service skills an asset. 

 Strong interpersonal skills. 

 Ability to apply critical thinking and to work independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary team. 

 Excellent ICT skills in all Microsoft tools, such as Project, Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

The role of the ICT Procurement Officer is to assist and support in the actions to plan, execute, and finalise purchasing for technology and information division related procurement across HIQA. This includes acquiring resources within budget and facilitating communication within HIQA’s stakeholders and its providers in order to procure products and services according to plan.
