Job Description

About the role :
*

Provide leadership to cross-functional teams and/or programs composed of multiple projects/work streams with varying complexity in the successful delivery of high-impact IT initiatives within a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant
*

Plan solutions to achieve identified objectives, drive program achievement, interface with senior GMS/GQ IT management and GMS/GQ business stakeholders to influence decision-making on projects
*

Responsible for managing a matrix team of internal and/or contractors on a project-by-project basis. The level of direct report authority will be commensurate with the level of project accountability of the Program Manager
*

Strategically plan and manage IT/OT programs and projects across functions and operating units.

How you will contribute:
*

Maintain project timeframes, budget estimates, and status reports for any projects or programs within area of accountability - deliver on your commitments
*

Coordinate and manage project team members and develop schedules and individual responsibilities to deliver on our project commitments
*

Partner with IT and business area leaders across multiple functions to identify and plan major programs and projects
*

Initialize and plan programs consisting of multiple projects and work streams of varying complexity spanning multiple locations
*

Assure appropriate prioritization and alignment with the strategy and direction of the organization and that appropriate resources are allocated for their development
*

Direct and coach team members to meet business needs
*

Ensure that program/project governance effectively aligns with technology strategy/roadmaps, enterprise plans and standards and industry regulation.
*

Drive processes for securing budget and resources and allocating these to programs/projects; tracking program/project performance against plan; and updating priorities and budget/resource assignments based on performance and/or changes in conditions
*

Monitor the market to gain knowledge and understanding of emerging PMO knowledge and implement best practices and continuous improvements.

Ideally, specific experience with Takeda preferred integrated applications including Werum PAS-X, Labware LIMS, OSI-PI Historian, and SAP ERP.

What you bring to Takeda :

Essential
*

Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering.
*

10+ years relevant experience leading highly visible, complex IT programs/projects including management of full lifecycle implementations
*

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to handle issues that occur during project completion
*

Excellent organization, budget, and time management skills to keep projects on track and within budget
*

Excellent oral and written English communications skills, business acumen, problem solving, and analytical skills to communicate ideas and data in a persuasive and appropriate manner
*

Extensive experience formulating, organizing, and monitoring inter-connected projects
*

Extensive experience partnering with business area leaders to plan and deliver programs and projects with limited or competing resources (time, budget, people)
*

In-depth pharmaceutical manufacturing industry experience (GxP shopfloor)
*

Extensive exposure to pharmaceutical manufacturing regulations and quality assurance/control
*

Ability to manage data collection and analysis to make fact based decisions
*

Ability to set priorities, develop workflow processes, and manage teams in a fluid environment
*

Ability to assess strengths and weaknesses of team members and provide suggestions for improvement
*

Excellent understanding of project life cycle good practices and models (e.g. waterfall & Agile methodologies).

Desired
*

Masters degree or equivalent
*

Knowledge of Small Molecule (API, Drug Product, & Packaging) and large Molecule (Aseptic processes for cell culture development) Pharmaceutical processes
*

Certified project management accreditation (PMP or Prince 2).

Travel Requirements - up to 25% in any given month.
