Job Title: Network Support Engineer / Administrator (Data)

Contract/ Permanent: Contract - 9 Months initially
Location: Hybrid - Wexford Office or Dublin 14 Office
Overview: Ergo is the largest privately-owned IT services provider in Ireland, headquartered in Dublin, with offices in Cork and Limerick as well as the UK and US. You will be joining an innovative company made up of over 500 passionate professionals from many different backgrounds.
Ergo are currently seeking to recruit a Network Support Engineer/Administrator for our client with offices in Wexford and Dublin 14. The contract is for nine months initially but is expected to extend for an additional 2 years in total.The role is hybrid, and it is envisaged that the successful candidate will be required to work on-site for 2 days at a minimum in one of the Client's offices either in Wexford or Dublin 14.

Role & Responsibilities:

* Providing technical support for all escalations and Problem Management from the Service Desk.
* Supporting and working directly with the ICT Operations team which will include logging, reporting, troubleshooting, and finding resolution to network issues on a day-to-day basis.
* Management and administration of Microsoft Active Directory on Windows Server 2012, 2016 and 2019 network. Administration of Teams and on premise PSTN (Cisco).
* Microsoft 365 environment including Exchange and SharePoint.
* Anti-virus, deployment, and updates. Veeam backups and restores. AD Administrative groups and user access rights.
* Identify and remedy network performance bottlenecks to ensure the stable operation and efficient performance of company networks in all offices.
* Monitor Network security. Provide documentation and technical specifications, including step guides to ICT staff & end-users when implementing new projects or upgrades.
* Responding to end user queries and providing updates on the status of Problems, incidents, or Project deployment updates to stakeholders. Maintaining clear and excellent customer services skills at all time.
* Manage Projects that are deployed and implemented on the infrastructure across the EPA. Implementing high level complex solutions within project deadlines. Limit downtime on all environments.
* Create custom scripts to automate support processes where applicable. Manage firewalls, VPNs, and remote access to servers, based on different user roles and access requirements.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required:

* Minimum of 4 years experience in Network Support.
* 4 years relevant experience in Network Administration and IT Operations activities.
* 4 years experience working as a Cisco Network system administrator.
* A degree (NFQ Level 8) in a 3rd level IT qualification, or similar relevant certification with 6 years work experience.
* Experience with SCCM, Microsoft Intune and VMWare, Windows Servers.
* Experience of private Cloud, public Cloud, SaaS, or IaaS, of liaising with third parties/vendors for assistance, of Backups & Disaster Recovery and of working with Veeam.
* Experience of working with and monitoring Routers, Switches, Firewalls.
* Experience working with SolarWinds network monitoring and managing and administering Cisco Network products.
* Experience in the deployment, management, and administration of a complex hybrid on premise/cloud-based IT environment.
