What you will do
The Design Engineer is responsible for designing Fire Suppression systems using site surveys or supplied drawings. Based from our Provincial head office in Cork, you will manage the design phase to support the business operations and customer s needs.
How you will do it
Carrying out design work
Ensuring design schedule is met for approval, fabrication & construction, Liaising with sales & contract manager with onsite specifications, installation & bracketing Completing Design Risk Assessments,
Liaise with Purchasing/Stores regarding head types readily available.
Checking all drawings before issuing
Issue drawings to CM and Foreman
Creating of FM, NPFA, EN Completion certs & issue to Contracts Manager for adding to handover packs
Issue design info to get Hydraulic Data plates manufactured.
What we look for
Design experience within a mechanical/electrical/industrial field.
Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and if you also have 3D capabilities it would be a distinct advantage.
A full driving license.
Excellent organisational skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Building Services Engineering qualification
Sprinkler design or knowledge would be advantageous
Experience in the use of Microsoft office will be advantageous.
Design experience and knowledge of other types of fire suppression systems will be of real benefit.
