Great opportunity to join an organisation that has recently established an R&D operation in Galway to deliver on the rapid growth they are experiencing. Headquartered in San Francisco the company offers a unique solution to clients whereby they can manage and control the lifecycle of all their digital assets, including hardware, software, IoT, networks, cloud, as well as the people and workflows who rely on them. As the new Development Manager, you will play a key role in accelerating the company's growth plans in EMEA.

Build out a grow the engineering team to help deliver on the rapid growth the company is experiencing.
Lead the teams to deliver results that will have a direct impact on the company's success.
Help the people you are managing to grow into excellent engineers and great co-workers.
Be technically savvy enough to ensure you are moving the team in the right direction to deliver.
Enjoy the flexibility of moving from high-level architectural discussions to conducting 1:1 meetings with team members.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the Engineering team to align with the Company s strategy for success
Hire and develop team members to strengthen your team
Provide guidance and coaching to team members on technical contributions, product architecture etc.
Foster creative technical decision-making on your team, and implement the best solutions
Keep the customer at the core of what your teams deliver and ensure your team knows how clients utilise their solutions at a practical level
Identify and remove any roadblocks to individual and team success,
Build strong relationships with peers, direct reports, and other departments within the organisation
Create a positive team culture where people a genuinely happy to work and grow!
YOUR EXPERIENCE:
You should be able to demonstrate several years of experience leading and managing people within a software engineering environment.
A genuine interest in technology with the ability to discuss architectural and design concepts (we don't need you to code but expect you to have a background in that domain)
The ability to achieve consensus between different stakeholder groups in order to deliver customer-centric solutions.
You enjoy coaching, mentoring, and challenging your team to deliver the best results they are capable of.
