Registration Officer, Belfast, £12.45 per hour

Your new company
A Public Sector Organisation based in Belfast is looking to recruit for a Registration Officer.

Your new role
To act as first point of contact for all registration and regulation queries or complaints received by telephone, email, letter, fax, etc
Ensure administrative compliance with procedures and guidance;
To take responsibility for all post, visitors to reception, invoicing and deregistration as directed;
To be responsible for maintaining filing systems as appropriate.
To maintain knowledge of requirements for individuals applying from UK, ROI, EU and outside of the EU;
To maintain knowledge of external organisations.
To accurately input and update registration data by using initiative to resolve any data anomalies;
Where required, to assist the team leader in undertaking analysis and preparing reports;
To handle individual case allocation and issue Certificates of Registration;
To conduct the approval of qualifications processes leading to registration and present findings to the team leader for decision;
To conduct suitability checks ensuring applicants are suitable
To assist with the annual billing and registration fee collection processes.
To support the administration of regulatory processes as directed
Ensure the effective management of case files including appropriate data and evidence collection and collation in accordance with the Record Retention Policy, Guidelines and Disposal Schedule.
To comply with the Equal Opportunities Policy;
To comply with the IT security policy
To maintain confidentiality and comply with all the record management policies specifically data protection and freedom of information and any reasonable procedures arising from them

What you'll need to succeed
5 GCSE's including English and Maths
At least three years' relevant administrative experience with well-developed IT skills;
At least three years' relevant experience in a customer service environment, including dealing with customers face to face, by telephone and via email; and
At least three years' relevant experience of interpreting and applying policies, procedures and/or legislation, ensuring high levels of compliance.
Excellent understanding of IT systems
Excellent customer service skills
Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task
Competent in the use of MS Office
Drive and Commitment to Continuous Learning
