PFH Technology Group are seeking an IT Support Technician to be based onsite with their client in Cork.
The role will initially be for 6 months to work on a Hybrid Workplace project which will involve end user device build and concierge support. This is a customer-facing role with one-2-one interaction with users required.
Responsibilities:
Build of Laptops and PCs with Windows 10 and use of SCCM to install applications on the devices
One-to-one appointment with a staff member to get them set-up with their new laptop/VDI/remote-access as part of the Hybrid return to work
Assist in QA and set-up of desks for staff return to work e.g. IT Equipment set-up on Desks, checking network ports, phones, power, monitor, mouse, keyboard etc are set-up and working on all desks, cable management
Some manual handling required when setting up IT equipment on desks (e.g. moving monitors, PCs, phones, cables etc)
Trouble-shooting and problem-solving desktop issues
Requirements:
Level 1 or 2 Desktop engineer experience
Knowledge of Windows environment – Win7, Win10, Active Directory, SCCM
Microsoft – Cloud, Outlook, Teams, Skype
VDI, Citrix, Remote desktop
Networks – port connectivity and trouble-shooting
Meeting room Audio/Visual set-up and trouble-shooting
Good communication skills essential and a good customer-facing manner and temperament
Good problem-solver and trouble-shooter. Ability to think on their feet
