Data Engineer

We're working exclusively with a rapidly expanding Irish start-up in Galway with their recent plans to expand their engineering team. My client has designed and developed a world-class advanced analytics platform which is used by the world's biggest companies within this sector

Within this role you will be responsible for participating in all aspects of data platform lifecycle, including high level design, architecture definition, implementation, testing and deployment as well as designing and building ETL pipelines to include data from a wide variety of sources.

If successful, you will have full training and support from senior members of their data engineering team. My client is looking for a candidate with at least 1 year of professional experience who has the drive to quickly progress

What you need:

* At least 1+ year in a Software Engineering or Data Engineering role and the ability to design, implement and deliver maintainable and high-quality code with Python
* Experience writing SQL scripts and Database Design
* Knowledge of how to build and maintain Data Pipelines
* Knowledge of Spark, GCP, Azure, Serverless or Elasticsearch is non-essential but highly desirable

This role will be based onsite in Galway for the first couple of weeks but you will have the option to work fully remote beyond this. You will be required onsite for the occasional meeting however
