Job Description

We are currently seeking an IT Support Technician to join our friendly team. 

NetSupport are an award-winning managed IT Service provider based in Portlaoise, Co. Laois, servicing clients nationwide. At NetSupport we have a progressive, friendly & enterprising team dedicated towards making technology and IT simple for Irish businesses.

The successful applicant will work from our Portlaoise office for the probation period afterwhich hybrid working will be possible,

Applicants should:

  • have 1+ years’ experience in an IT Administrator / Support (or equivalent) role.

  • be ambitious and willing to learn.

  • be results-oriented and be an excellent problem solver.

  • have excellent attention to detail.

  • be able to work in a fast-paced, high-productivity environment.

  • have excellent communication and ticket management skills.

Duties include:

  • Provide helpdesk support for users of NetSupport's IT platforms ensuring all support calls are logged and resolved in a timely manner, within a helpdesk environment (FreshDesk and Kayesa PSA), using remote assistance, telephone support and / or a site visit, where applicable.

  • Manage support cases, drive to resolve cases and support customers quickly and efficiently ensuring support offerings are provided to our customers within the specified SLA.

  • To investigate, diagnose (root cause) and resolve IT related issues while working with then end user, other staff and third-party vendors, where appropriate.

  • Taking ownership for the resolution of issues, monitoring progress and applying the escalation procedure, when necessary.

  • To ensure consistent delivery of high-quality services to all NetSupport clients.

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, when applicable.

  • Assist with agreed plans to install or upgrade items of hardware and / or software on customer sites (Infrastructure installs and upgrades).

You will be required to:

  • Support Windows Server issues.

  • Support Exchange, Office 365 issues.

  • Support networking and Firewall related issues.

  • Support virtual & cloud environments.

  • Support end user laptops, workstations, desk and mobile phones, printers and other end user devices.

  • Support data protection solutions.

  • Work with team members to promote, develop, and maintain a positive experience for the client.

  • Comply, maintain and promote information security in NetSupport.
