Job Title: Techncial Lead (Telecoms)

Overview:
Ergo are seeking a Technical Lead for a hybrid role with a market-leading Telecoms provider in Dublin.
Reporting into a Solutions Architect the successful Technical Lead will be responsible for Infrastructure projects which include database upgrades, heavy connectivity/firewall requirements and Load balancing. You will also work with Security and Ops teams to review Vendor LLDs.
A background in Enterprise Infrastructure Environment setup and Management is required while experience within a Telcos provider is highly desirable.
This is a rolling 6 month. Candidates contract which can be worked remotely initially although there will be an onsite requirement (2 days per week) from October 2021.
Key Responsibilities:
* Creation, Maintenance and communication of the end-to-end process detailing the demand and delivery of infrastructure requirements
* Work with vendors to gather and define project requirements and deliverables around infrastructure and deployment
* Assist with the creation of a first line support team required to manage the end platform.
* Identifying all the technical tasks based on the deployment plan with the help from tech resources at hand
* Lead the technical part of the deployment plan internally with required teams.
* Participate in the UAT for the technical aspects and make sure required teams are signing off.
* Attending all meetings specially the PM meetings and daily standups to ensure PMs have complete visibility on the tech part.
* Aligning with Management to make sure any tech flags are timely raised.
* Providing a completed Infrastructure build document (as required in SIRT) and including all connectivity details and documentation, including Firewall details.
* Overall leadership and management for delivering IP Connectivity designs and solutions and End2End infrastructure designs and solutions to the Client.
* Overall leadership and management of establishing connectivity between applications, including leading the implementation of firewall rules with security.
* Review Infrastructure designs to ensure designs are robust, scalable and have addressed capacity and performance objectives.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Implementation / support of Infrastructure design and architecture within a telcos environment
* Telecoms network design is desirable
* Technical writing/documentation
* Project management
* Virtualisation - Vmware / Citrix
* Unix / Linux
* Application Servers
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Project and Visio
