The Cyber Defense Analyst III - CAT position is responsible for building efficiencies by designing content and developing automations to enhance the capabilities of the Cyber Defense Team. The role will involve creating automations and signatures to mitigate threats to the organization, designing automated playbooks and tools that improve current workflows, and participating in threat hunting exercises. This position will require the Cyber Defense Analyst III - CAT to work closely with other security teams.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain automations within our Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response platform
* Identify, propose and initiate improvements to the organization's security posture
* Produce well commented code and clearly articulated documentation
* Build, automate, and develop integrations with security applications
* Analyze, correlate, and data mine security logs to identify malicious activity
* Contribute towards the continual improvement of our threat hunting capabilities & tooling
* Recommend, help implement, and test improved threat response capabilities
* Provide support and mentor junior members
* Review content created and ongoing projects to ensure standards are met

Professional Experience

* Experience in information security
* Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate a passion for information security through course work/degrees completed, self-study, and/or certifications that have been completed
* Strong programming background
Formal Education

* Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security, or a related discipline
* Certifications complementing education are a plus
