You will be responsible for understanding, identifying and developing the key messages and communications surrounding our deployment of full fibre. You will work alongside our corpororate affairs colleagues and be responsible for shaping the Company's narrative in respect of FTTP and be responsible for managing stakeholders to support FTTP build and manage local authority issues as they arise.
What I'll be doing - your accountabilities
*Responsible for delivering pan engagement in respect of Fibre Community Partnerships through our rural towns and villages programme. The individual will support the change of perceptions of people and build engagement; create belief in our strategy, inspire stakeholders to engage and supports what we do
*Responsible for sharing the company narrative around our FTTP ambition with relevant stakeholders, working alongside our internal and external comms partners to
*source, develop and land the right messages to our audiences
*Responsible for engagement in relation Fibre Community Partnerships driving business opportunities to deploy Fibre
*Provide intelligence to our Corporate Affairs partners to aid or work alongside them in the capacity of spokesperson and public representative, including extensive media briefing (on and off the record), e.g. responding in real-time to questions arising from news reporters.
*Responsible for sourcing, developing content about external matters that helps build our reputation internally & externally in respect of Full Fibre e.g. brand, corporate affairs, products, technology, regulation
*Is the key comms partner pan who will be expected to manage risks, crisis and issues, in respect of community fibre partnerships and our full fibre build programme, working alongside the other comms partners across the company to manage all avenues of communications e.g. the risk, challenges. This is managed practically through extensive preparation with the business for the event of the risk becoming public and through communications expertise and experience in how to tailor and deliver reactive messages to the appropriate audiences.
- Managing contracts and be effective in agreeing expectations with key external stakeholders in the region
Leading the relationship with the client and key stakeholders across local government bodies and within the company
- Managing contracts to ensure delivery of our contractual commitments
*Acts as business partner and an internal/external comms expert and lead on all things FTTP and full fibre deployment, whilst also working with operations specific comms leads on their specific areas of the message -engaging in marketing activities that promote and increase awareness of contracts in the Region.
*Agreeing set enablers with local authorities within the geographical region they work within to enable build and prevent issues with deployment of FTTP and other fibre projects.
*Travel to sites to support promotional activites including Door to door agitation .
*Manage call lists and make calls where necessary to support voucher uptake and validations.
Experience you would be expected to have:
*Proven ability to constructively challenge and influence at senior levels.
*Proven ability to collaborate effectively with the skill of working across functions and teams at all levels.
*Experience and deep knowledge of corporate comms best practice including experience within a listed company.
*Experience of stakeholder engagement within a listed company, - and of managing engagement programmes with senior executives - across multiple audiences, channels and locations.
*Proven ability to work in a target orientated position, as well as be able to work unsupervised; creating and converting leads into deliverable solutions.
*Strong understanding and experience in mapping and prioritizing stakeholder audiences based on business value.
