Job Title: Technical Support Engineer
Location: Client site, Dublin City
Duration: 2 Month Contract
Overview:
Our client is seeking to hire an engineer with strong organisational skills, with an ability to work independently and / or as part of team. Good analytical skills are required which enable the successful candidate to determine the most effect course of action. Strong technical and virtualisation skills are required specifically within the VMware and Microsoft.
Requirements:
Other general duties / requirements will include:
* Excellent Knowledge of MS Office Products
* In Depth Knowledge of a broad range of IT systems
* Experience with VMware is highly desirable
* Experience with Networks and Firewalls is desirable
* In Depth knowledge of Smartphones, Tablets and related technologies
* Domain Administrator level experience, DNS Records, MX records and other network name resolution protocols
* Experience troubleshooting office printers
* Messaging and Office 365 would be advantageous
* Experience with administration of Networking infrastructure and typical network protocols
* Knowledge of backup system environments
* Knowledge of Windows Desktop Operating environments Win7 / Win8
* Knowledge of PABX and VOIP based phone systems
* Excellent reading, writing and communications skills
* Neat and professional appearance and demeanour
Operating Systems
* Windows Server environments 2003 / 2008 R2 / 2012 R2
Database Engines:
* Familiar with SQL Server Administration and troubleshooting
Microsoft Skills:
* Microsoft Clusters, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Exchange, AD, System Centre, SharePoint
Technical Skills:
* VMware vSphere 4 & 5,
* Firewalls (Netscaler, Cisco ASA),
* Networking (Cisco,) PBX
* Exchange,
* Office 365,
* SharePoint,
* Linux & Unix experience beneficial
Personal Skills:
* Willingness, eagerness & ability to learn about new technologies
