Senior IT Systems Engineer, Digital Science| Corporate Finance & Restructuring About the Role: The focus of the IT Systems Engineer role is to support FTI's mission, " To deliver exceptional technical support and technology services, in an environment where respect, professionalism and quality are at the core of our company " The IT Systems Engineer will provide both level 1 and level 2 Support to end users for all desktop, hardware and software issues. Provide level 3 Support, with regards to internal infrastructure & technology operations. Provide excellent customer service and technical support to all business departments, external users, contractors and external clients. Participate in deployment of new technologies and systems for the company. Possess working experience and skills related to Windows/Linux operating system, VMware, server hardware, desktops, server software, data communications, network troubleshooting. What you'll do: Provide service to FTI employees, remote users, contractors & clients while protecting the integrity and confidentiality of all data and information through physical and electronic measures and in line with the company's Information security policies. Take ownership of issues that cannot be resolved on a first/second line basis and see the issue through to completion. Configure, monitor & maintain systems, applications & infrastructure. Implement & configure systems & networks as directed by Sr. Director Information Technology and in line with best practice. Monitor & test systems performance, identify weaknesses and work with our technology team to implement solutions. Firewall, router, switch and WIFI configuration & maintenance. Windows server deployment & management. Server virtualization & maintenance. Maintain up to date architecture & systems documentation. The ability to work effectively as part of a team, to multitask and to prioritise work. Troubleshoot problems and issues related to support service delivery in a timely fashion. Provide clear and concise reports on status of all calls to Sr. Director of Information Technology. Monitor the daily helpdesk queue, resolving issues assigned in a timely manner. Communicate resolutions effectively with end users and update helpdesk system details as appropriate. Manage the backup daily and weekly processes for all systems and logs accordingly. Escalate issues to Sr. Director Information Technology within SLA & OLA guidelines. Research solutions to technical problems and communicate effectively to the team. Maintain an up to date service desk ticket log, resolution database, and follow up updates. Maintain up to date documentation of builds, and software package deployment. Maintain up to date asset register , and licensing information in compliance with ITIL framework and ISO27001 Standard Participate in internal information security audits. Comply with FTI's Information Technology Policies and Procedures. Carry out any duties and additional asks that may be assigned by Sr. Director Information Technology once it is within the scope of Information Technology functions. Required: Experience: Minimum 4-5 years of hands on experience in: Systems Administration (MS AD, MS Exchange) Virtualisation (VMware) Cisco Networking (LAN/WAN/Routing/VPN) Qualifications: Minimum 2.1 Degree in one of the following : Computer Science Computer Networks Software Engineering Technical Certifications : Minimum Certification or equivalent: CCNA VCP Microsoft MTA Cloud Proficient experience in Active directory, Windows Server environment and Microsoft Exchange. Analysing the current operating environment, identifying cost reduction opportunities, designing target state solutions and executing finance transformation. Providing comprehensive financial restructuring and cash management services to identify working capital and other cash flow improvements. Developing and stress-testing integrated business plans, budgeting and forecasting models using a fact-based, data driven approach, including KPI definition, data visualization, reporting automation and touchless forecasting. Robotic process automation of manual, repetitive processes to increase efficiency and reduce cost. Establishment or enhancement of company finance functions and processes. Improved management reporting through KPI definition, data visualization and reporting automation. Support wider business transformation engagements as required.
