Data Engineering Manager
I'm working closely with a leading global professional services firm based in Dublin who have a new requirement for a Data Engineering Manager to join their cloud-based analytics team. In this role, you would be responsible for leading a small team of Data Engineers whilst remaining very hands-on, working with cutting-edge Data and Analytics technologies and techniques.
Within this role you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, tuning and deployment of data pipeline solutions and hand off to support teams to operate. You will work closely with business stakeholders, gathering data integration requirements and developing solutions.
What you need:
* Strong academic background in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Sciences or related field
* 5+ years' experience as Data/ETL Engineer
* 2+ years' experience leading / managing a team
* Programming experience with SPARKSQL in addition to Python and/or Scala
* Proven experience developing data solutions on AWS S3, Apache Airflow, Redshift etc.
* RDBMS experience in MS SQL and Oracle
* Experience in Hadoop, Snowflake and Databricks seen as a nice-to-have
