Systems Engineer (Linux)

Are you currently working in a big organisation and feeling like you're being pigeonholed and not given the freedom to work on the variety of tools and tech that you would like? If that's the case, this role would be the perfect move for you.

I'm working with a small local organisation who are likely to expand rapidly across the rest of this year. They're looking for a talented systems engineer to take ownership of large parts of their infrastructure and help them as they scale up. If you're passionate about technology then this role is ideal. You'll be working closely with the head of the department and coordinating day-to-day with other very technical engineers. The biggest selling point here is the hands on work and the freedom you're given to bring new ideas to the table on how to best optimise their infrastructure.

Desired Technical Skills:

* Excellent hands-on Linux (RedHat) engineering experience
* Previous experience in an internet-facing 24x7 environment
* Strong Networking knowledge (routing/switching/troubleshooting)
* Good hands-on work with VMware
* Strong scripting skills - Bash/Python/Perl
* AWS experience would be a bonus
