We're looking for a candidate to this position in an exciting company.
Responsibilities will include:
* Develop, document, and maintain tools for current productions, integrating them into the existing CG pipeline
* Train and support artists in using pipeline tools, and advise artists and TDs on technical planning and production issues
* Support and tackle technical production issues and work with a centrally-managed pipeline development team
* Identify inefficiencies in the production pipeline, propose and design solutions
* Use source code version control systems to deploy code in production
Knowledge, skills, and experience:
* Extensive development experience in python
* Experience in pipeline development with distributed teams and using PyQT or PySide
* Experience developing tools for Maya and Shotgun
* Advanced understanding of Maya in a high-end production environment
* The specialist knowledge of the entire CG production process
* Good understanding of rendering
* Ability to work to both long and short deadlines and strong written and verbal communication skills
Beneficial prior experience - preferred but not essential:
* Tool development for Houdini and Nuke, Photoshop
* Experience with DVCS, TDD, Shotgun Toolkit, YETI, Vray Next, Arnold 5. x, JavaScript, Linux, Angular2.0 or greater
* Experience with game engine technology
