itContracting are seeking to recruit a Business Development Manager to join a growing and successful sales team with our well established client based in Dublin.

With double digit growth, exceed 25%, for the last 2 years and equally strong ambitions for the next 5 years, we are looking for the right candidate to drive further growth within the public sector.
 You’ll be tasked with developing key stakeholder relationships, participating in tender activities, regularly liaising with technical colleagues and presenting comprehensive proposals for engagements that leverage the technical strengths of the group.
 Your commitment to further growth and success of our clients business should be strong and you should have a proven track record of exceeding on goals within the public sector.

Key responsibilities

- Strategically developing a pipeline of new business opportunities in the public sector through both new and existing contacts
- Understand client issues and challenges, positioning our portfolio offering to provide best in class solutions in response
- Manage and qualify inbound leads
- Assisting with the preparation and delivery of tenders and bids alongside portfolio leads/team managers
- Expertly manage complex sales cycle, including contract and commercial negotiations
- Building and maintain relationships with clients in order to continually grow new business
- Taking accountability for accurate business development forecasting
- Working alongside the account managers, assisting them in nurturing existing public sector client accounts wherever required
- Maintain the highest standard of work, working towards the overall success of the organisation's clients


- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Demonstrate a commitment to personal performance, and a history of success in the public sector exceeding annual sales targets
- Previous experience and knowledge of the procurement process within the public sector
- Experience selling to technical buyers, preferably CTOs and Heads of Product Marketing , CMO and CIO.
- Ability to navigate large complex organisations
- Ability to produce winning proposals by providing appropriate leadership to the technical teams with meticulous attention to detail
- Understanding of how new technologies assist with solving today’s business challenges with the ability to define problems, collect information and present solutions
- Outstanding organisational, time management and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all buyer personas (individual contributor to C-level)
- A logical and methodical sales process
- Intellectual curiosity; someone who strives to understand everything about the market and the needs of our customers in order to provide a compelling solution
- Consultative selling attitude and style
- Previous experience within a consulting type organisation a distant advantage
