The successful Candidate will provide remote, telephone (& occasional on-site) support to our contracted customer base. Skillset required is listed below. Candidates will likely have a Microsoft or equivalent qualification.

The main duties involved include:

Provision of technical support to client staff to facilitate delivery of business processes using the following systems:

•Hardware: Desktop / Laptop / Smart Phones / iPhones / Printers / Servers / Switches / Routers / Firewalls
•Software: Microsoft Operating Systems / Standard MS Office suite / Bespoke applications / Website Technologies
• Mission Critical systems: Backup Systems / Disaster Recovery / Antivirus / Malware / Security
• High quality, customer support is to be provided in accordance with the client’s IT Service delivery framework.
• Perform proactive / preventative monitoring and maintenance on all systems and applications as appropriate;
• Assist in project delivery (installations) as required
• Share with colleagues information regarding new procedures and developments as well as demonstrate problem solving ability;
• Ensure compliance with the client’s IT policy framework; • Perform software updates to the client’s systems as required;
• Develop a comprehensive and detailed working knowledge of the client’s applications (both standard and bespoke). 

The key requirements being sought in the candidates for this position are:

• Fluent spoken and written English
• Full clean driver’s license
• At least 3 years hands-on experience in a Desktop Support Administrator role, including the following areas:
• Excellent knowledge of  Windows 10 operating systems.
• Working knowledge of Apple iOS. • Hardware build, maintenance & support experience
• Remote access technologies, network access control, security and connectivity issues
• Working knowledge of configuration of production virtual-machine environments
• Good working knowledge of security technologies (firewalls, web proxies, email gateways)
• Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues in a time-critical and pressured environment
• A customer-focused approach to service delivery
• Experience of dealing with workloads via call-logging systems
• Excellent oral and written communication, and documentation skills
• Teamwork skills and a positive attitude are essential
• Flexibility, self-motivation, drive, initiative and ability to work under pressure 

Additional desired experience being sought in the candidates for this position includes:

 • Working knowledge of critical Network Services (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S)
• Windows Server 2019, 2016, Active Directory
• Administration of MS Exchange 2019, 2016,
• Administration of Windows Server 2019, 2016 
• Network trouble shooting (TCP/IP, DNS)
• Router/firewall experience (WatchGuard, SonicWall) including Office VPN
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and Cloud technologies
• Virtualisation technology – VMware / Hyper-V
