In a typical day as a DevOps engineer you would,
Grow existing products and infrastructure capabilities to handle massive growth, enabling the generation of high-performance CI/CD workflows and data products on all internal and external DevOps systems.
Visualize, design, and develop creative and innovative continuous delivery solutions, as we continue to advance the DevOps field to the edge of its spectrum internally and externally.
Create scalable pipelines and applications, and efficient solutions using Jenkins, Docker and equivalent technologies that are unit tested, code reviewed, and checked regularly for continuous integration and delivery to our customers.
Frequent contribution to the development of new ideas, process improvements and providing direction and guidance to improvement initiatives.
Plan and execute full Agile methodologies for each assigned project, adhering to company standards and expectations.
If you have experience
Designing and building tools and frameworks to automate development, deployment, management and monitoring of the company’s next generation continuous delivery services and products.
Interacting with Global Project teams to analyse regular system requirements and assist them in timely production releases into Salesforce cloud infrastructure.
Providing project insights to enhance, upgrading and optimizing infrastructure to utilize effective continuous delivery strategies.
Supporting and Maintaining regular system upgrades and releases to ensure our solutions meet the global standards and best practices.
Giving a high level of attention to creating software and networking platforms free of faulty programming, keeping developers in step continuously without compromising site reliability.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
Proven ability to document design processes, including development, tests and troubleshooting.
Experience working with VCS technologies such as Git, GitHub.
Experience with Jenkins, Groovy, and Java.
Experience with Docker and/or other container technologies.
Experience with troubleshooting and maintaining patch upgrades to enterprise class Linux infrastructures.
Strong scripting (Shell, Groovy) and automation abilities for improving site reliability.
Professional Experience working with Infrastructure concepts such as routing, service discovery, proxies for applications.
