This is a multinational, one of the "best places to work" in Ireland hiring a Software Development Manager to look after a team of 10 engineers, building and maintaining microservices for a payments platform. You'll empower the devs and help them maintain their high standards… you'll have plenty of autonomy over technical direction, architectural calls, client management and goal-setting. A software engineering background would be ideal here, the team work primarily with a Java/Spring Boot stack but an in-depth Java knowledge isn't necessary.

Nice benefits package on offer, open to remote options within Ireland too.

The person:

* 4+ years' experience in leading development teams.
* A software engineering background.
* Ability to design and deliver software within tight deadlines.
* Able to set goals for engineers.
* Creative.
* Strong client management capabilities.
* Exceptional leadership skills.
