At Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), we bring together the brightest minds to create breakthrough technology solutions and advance the way people live and work. Our legacy inspires us as we forge ahead dedicated to helping our customers make their mark on the world.

We live by three core values that drive our business: Partner. Innovate. Act. These values combine to help us create important work all over the world to advance how people live and work.

We believe that learning does not only happen through formal training. Relationships are among the most powerful ways for people to learn and grow, and this is part of our HPE culture. In addition to working alongside talented colleagues, you will have many opportunities to learn through coaching and stretch assignment opportunities. You’ll be guided by feedback and support to accelerate your learning and maximize your knowledge. We also have a “reverse mentoring” program which allows us to share our knowledge and strengths across our multi-generation workforce.

The Team

The mission of the Global Security organization within HPE is to protect the company from both physical & digital threats with world-class, extensible security capabilities. We advance HPE's business objectives by effectively managing risk. We do this by constantly monitoring, assessing, and responding to physical, cyber, and business continuity threats directed towards HPE.

The successful candidate will be a senior member of HPE's Cyber Defense Center (CDC) team. The CDC team forms part of our Security Fusion Center which includes other functions like Global Security & Emergency Command Center (GSECC), Advanced Threat Response, Intelligence, SIEM Engineering and Data Analytics.

This role will be based full time in the Galway, Ireland or Houston, Texas office.

Key Responsibilities

In this Senior Information Security Analyst role, you will be investigating Cybersecurity incidents and working through containment and remediation. You can expect to be heavily involved in Endpoint and Malware analysis, leveraging CrowdStrike.

Overall, you will be involved in detecting Information Security incidents in real time through centralized monitoring (SIEM). The Security Fusion Center is all about collaboration, so you will be working closely with our partner teams daily.

Mentoring and training team members is a significant part of this the role as we continuously place our time investing in our colleagues learning and continuous professional development. Areas such as incident handling and endpoint/malware analysis will be an important focus here. Given this directed scope on mentoring, this role will be Office Designated, helping collaboration occur naturally.

Our Fusion culture also means that you will have opportunities to propose changes that will enable us to further secure HPE. We believe that some of the best ideas for next steps on protecting HPE come from people involved in Operations, be it processes and procedures, or new capabilities and technologies.

Skills / Experience

As a Senior member of the team, you will most likely have spent several years in your career working within Security/Technology.

While you will be using CrowdStrike and Splunk, any previous experience with other EDR/SIEM platforms is also welcomed.

As our environment includes Windows, Linux and macOS systems, experience with analysis on most of these will be highly beneficial.

Endpoint and malware analysis will be a big part of your job. Certifications such as GCFA/GCIH and OSCP/OSCE are admirable, however we understand you may have the skills required but not had the opportunity to sit an exam.

What we offer

- A competitive salary and extensive social benefits

- Diverse and dynamic work environment

- Work-life balance and support for career development
