At Atkins Ireland We are seeking an IT Manager to work in our dynamic engineering business and will be based in our Swords Office. The successful candidate will be both a hands on problem solving technician along with managing and improving the entire IT function across our 4 offices ( Dublin, Cork, Galway and Dundalk ). This is a standalone position with full responsibility for IT at all levels in the business and will report to the Finance Director
The duties involved in this role are as follows –
Daily support to all 200 staff to resolving any IT issues both remotely and onsite
Setup and delivery of IT equipment for new starters
Management of IT stock to ensure users experience is delivered to highest standards
Diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults for users
Maintenance and monitoring of computer networks and systems
Management of printers and mobile phone account
Management and development of software centre and ensuring all devices are upto date
Running regular checks on network and data security to eliminate risks
Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems
Developing and implementing IT policy and best practice guides for the organisation
Conducting regular system and software audits
Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages
Managing and reporting on allocation of IT budget
Minimizing outages in the business and resolving all issues in a timely manner
Any other IT related issues that arise in the business

Possess a can do attitude and enjoys working in a dynamic and varied role
Enthusiastic, hardworking, a positive outlook and approachable manner
Well motivated, willing to take responsibility and able to work as part of a team or alone when required
Education Requirement: Level 8+ Degree
