Role Overview

The Senior Solution Architect / Developer role will be responsible for documenting, designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining solutions for Evros customers. It’s important the successful candidate has a passion for solving problems using technology, and a drive to deliver solutions that best fit customer needs. You will be joining a small technology team with success-oriented people working in an agile environment. This role will be based in our head office in Cherrywood Dublin.

Main Responsibilities:

- Evaluation & adoption of new technologies and software techniques.
- Translate client needs, and challenges, into solutions.
- Understanding & authoring system architecture documents (DFD/Activity diagrams, use case diagrams, state diagrams, class diagram, etc.).
- Developing Evros’ application development governance and contributing to our application development strategy.
- Input into the technology roadmap and the technologies we use to support customers
- Propose technology-based solutions and take ownership of delivery of the same.
- Design & develop greenfield architectures and associated approvals
- Ability to co-ordinate / lead internal and external design and delivery teams.
- Direct access to business owners with recurrent design and target meetings.
- Expected to mentor junior team members as well as learn new skills as part of a cross functional team.
- Be able to take part in decision making process around application development.

The Candidate

- At least 5 years' experience working as a solution architect or similar role.
- An organised approach to development engagements.
- Experience creating and delivering presentations to large groups.
- A technical background with basic knowledge of enterprise cloud services.
- Ability to take ownership of issues, delegate appropriately and follow through to resolution.
- Full clean driving license.
- Detail oriented logical thinker
- Is eligible to work in Ireland (e.g. has relevant visa)

Skills and experience

Required:

- Background as a Software Developer working on C# and the .NET platform (4.5 and later)
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Design methodologies, design patterns and software development best practices.
- Excellent understanding of, & experience with, web related technologies such as: HTTP protocol, SOAP, REST, XML, JSON, JavaScript, AJAX, HTML, CSS, DOM model.
- Familiarity with some of the modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular/React/Node), with Knockout.js (v2.2/3.4) being preferred.
- Ability to translate commercial priorities and customer requirements into a clear architecture evolution plan for the product in scope.
- Creating architectural artifacts such as DFD/Activity diagrams, use case diagrams, state diagrams, class diagram, etc.
- Translate requirements into functional code/prototypes.
- Experience conducting code reviews.
- Experience leading teams.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable in Source Control Systems (Microsoft TFS, GIT, Tortoise SVN etc.)

 Advantageous:

- Experience with responsive web design.
- Creating robust, flexible and reusable web controls in MVC and ASPX technologies.
- Ability to write test scripts/code against custom API framework.
- Be able to create fast UI prototypes/mock-ups using selected tools
- Understanding cross browser testing requirements.
- Experience designing and delivering on-premise to cloud migrations.

- Experience on Azure (App Services, storage, AAD, API Management, Microservices).
- Experience using Azure Containers and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Azure architectures for Integration services, high availability and data platforms.
- Experience with designing and generating reports using Microsoft Power BI technology
- Understanding how different authentication methods/flows work (e.g. OAuth2).
- Automation libraries and modules.
