Job Overview
Your role as Software development tutor on the Pre Tech Apprenticeship Programme will be to impart the basic principles and knowledge of Software Development, Principles of ICT Systems and Data Security and Software Testing. The knowledge gained by students will allow them to find opportunity through the acquisition of technical skills in Software Development and enabling them access high-quality apprenticeship programmes and the thriving IT careers that follow.
Responsibilities and Duties
Design and deliver the following Modules on a Pre-Tech Apprenticeship Programme:
- Principles of ICT Systems and Data Security
- Software Development Fundamentals
- Software Testing
The course duration is 30 weeks and the requirement for a software development tutor is 2 days a week over the 30 week Programme or a block of 12 weeks. The Programme will be delivered online so it is imperative that the candidate can demonstrate some skill in the design and delivery of technical programmes in an online capacity.
Qualification
Degree or equivalent level Software Development qualification
Level 6 Train the Trainer or equivalent training qualification
Experience in delivering a course on the National Framework of Qualifications to level 4 – Level 6
Experience of designing and delivering high quality technical training content for online delivery
A minimum of 8 years post-qualification experience
Renumeration depending on experience
