The role:
* Provides support of z/OS system, related subsystems, storage and software.
* Responds to systems errors and performance issues
* Project and on-call Support of zOS, CICS, and DB2 environment, collaborating with Database Administrators and System Programmers
* Administration of users and privileges using RACF
* Environmental configuration using CICS
* Configuration and support of storage
* Gather and review requirements for new projects
* Troubleshoot performance issues and provide options to improve
* Collaborate with Global Service Desk and other teams to enhance services
* Collaborate with Global Information Security teams to provide a secure and reliable environment
* Install software and configure environment optimized for software development
* Maintain multiple instances of environments, managing software and configurations that support development flexibility
Qualifications:
* Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
* 5-10 years working on Mainframe (z/OS, System Programming, Administration)
Must Have:
* Strong knowledge of RACF and SMP/E
Desirable Traits
* Working understanding of networking principles
* Strong knowledge of ISPF, ISPF Dialog Manager, and TSO
* Understanding of cryptography and key management principles
* CISSP, SOX, and similar certification a plus
