Wintel/DBA Specialist – 6 months – Dublin

Major Multinational IT Company are looking for a WINTEL/ DBA Specialist to work in Dublin for 6 month contract.

Wintel Engineer with 7 yrs experience required to work on Internal and Commercial Customer accounts.

Own Transport required.

Technical Interview will be conducted to assess candidate suitability.

Required skills:

– Windows 2003 MCSE certification or Windows 2008 equivalent is a must.
– MS SQL 2005 and 2007 DB administration experience and / or certification, SQL DB clustering knowledge an advantage.
– 3/4 yrs MS Active directory experience
– Strong knowledge of DNS / DHCP / File and Print / Group policy as well as Microsoft clustering.
– 1-2 yrs solid experience in Microsoft Exchange/Lotus Notes
– Altiris experience
– Very strong communication skills, verbally and written.
– Strong client facing experience
– Strong and demonstrable Problem solving skills required.
– Good grounding in ITIL problem and change management disciplines. Understanding of service level agreements.

Desired skills – at least some of the following:

– Citrix Pres Server 4 / XenApp5 experience and / or CCA or CCEA certification
– VMWare ESX 3.5 experience and / or VCP certification
– MS Sharepoint / OCS / SCCM / SCOM implementation experience
– Oracle DBA Expertise desirable
– Windows Scripting experience
– Internet Content Management technologies – CopperFasten, MailSweeper, WebMarshall, SQUID.
