Windows Server Engineer

Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
• Participates in design, development and deployment of Windows systems in both our client’s corporate and customer’s production environment
• Monitors, manages, and supports 24X7 Windows Servers and Applications
• Manages and maintains corporate systems including Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and ideally Kana
• Provides expert assistance and knowledge to the management and diagnostics of proprietary software systems
• Operates as a member of the windows server team, with both an operational and project focus ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of Windows platforms to all environments

Skills/Experience Required:
• 3+ years of experience with comprehensive knowledge of Windows server systems.
• Experience of enterprise grade hardware systems upon which Windows is deployed.
• Advanced to Expert knowledge more than one of:
o Windows Server 2003
o Active Directory
o Microsoft Exchange
o TCP/IP
o IIS
o HP Hardware and monitoring tools
o Automation tools such as Altiris deployment server
o Client /Server applications
o Windows debugging tools (WinDBG, Sysinternals tools)
• Working knowledge of scripting in a Windows environment
• A broad range of technical skills with a desire to develop and expand those skills
• A high degree of self motivation with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Able to design, implement, document solutions
• Strong troubleshooting skills

Following experience or attributes are highly desirable:
• Linux, VMWare, Microsoft Clustering
• Cisco, Juniper or HP Switches
• Load Balancing hardware, with Citrix Netscaler a particular plus
• ESX, Microsoft Clustering and SANs
• 24x7x365 high availability systems experience
• Strong communication skills both oral and written
