Virtualisation Wintel VMWARE Architect , Dublin

Wintel / VMWARE Architect – 6 months – Dublin
Must be available to start within 1-2 weeks

Major Multinational IT Company are looking for a WINTEL/ VMWare Specialist to work in Dublin for 6 month contract.
Own Transport required.

Required skills:

– Windows 2003 MCSE certification or Windows 2008 equivalent is a must.
– Experience in leading enterprise size migrations specifically in the Virtualisation arena and designed and architected Solutions to this size of business
– Must have p2v and v2v experience delivering large scale enterprise projects
– VMWARE VCP Certified 3.5 or later with 20 Actual P2V and V2V Migrations completed and able to demonstrate
– Citrix Pres Server 4 / XenApp5 experience and / or CCA or CCEA certification
– MS Active directory experience
– Strong knowledge of DNS / DHCP / File and Print / Group policy as well as Microsoft clustering.
– solid experience in Microsoft Exchange/Lotus Notes
– Altiris experience
– Very strong communication skills, verbally and written.
– Strong client facing experience
– Strong and demonstrable Problem solving skills required.
– Good grounding in ITIL problem and change management disciplines. Understanding of service level agreements.

Desired skills – at least some of the following:

– VMWare ESX 3.5 experience and / or VCP certification
– MS Sharepoint / OCS / SCCM / SCOM implementation experience
– Oracle DBA Expertise desirable
– Windows Scripting experience
– Internet Content Management technologies – CopperFasten, MailSweeper, WebMarshall, SQUID.
