Our client in the mid-west region in Ireland currently has a Maternity Cover contract for a UAT. The successful candidate will work as part of a team providing a range of activities related to a variety of internal and vendor provided software solutions. At least 3 years’ experience is required. Salary on offer is €35k pro rata.
Your duties include:
• Engage in primarily black both system and acceptance testing.
• Responsibility for the creation of test plans, cases and scripts.
• Execute test cases and provide periodic progress reports.
• Creation of Test Exit/Completion reports and release advice/guidance.
• Work closely with end users to ensure that provided solutions are optimised for end user efficiency.
• Engage with stakeholders in the identification and mitigation of risk (product, project and process)
Preferred Experience:
• Previous experience as software system or acceptance tester (preferably in Financial Services)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience is creating test documentation (test scripts, incident reports etc)
• Good knowledge of financial services, client/server testing, web based, various file interface types, such as flat files, xml, web services etc
• Experience with Incident management Systems (Jira or similar)
• Experience with Test Case Management systems (TestLink, Quality Centre or similar)
• Experience in dealing with any type of automation tools would be of benefit.
