Unix systems administrator required for an expanding team in Co.Donegal.

Knowledge & Skills Requirements:
Technical Knowledge & Skills
Hardware: A thorough understanding of IBM, HP and Sun servers for both the UNIX and Windows operating systems. Familiarly with network architecture (routers and switches) is a definite plus.

Software:
• 4 to 6 years of experience working on the Unix platform with Unix administration experience.
• 3 to 4 years of experience working on business intelligence tools such as Cognos, Business Objects, SAS or Tableau on Unix or Windows.
• 2 to 4 years of experience working on IBM’s Lotus Connections and Websphere on the Unix platform.
• Software functions include: installation, configuration, administration and testing of above products. Problem determination as required.
• Applying patches, service packs and hot fixes when required.
• Content administration and security administration.

Unix administBackground Requirements (Education/qualifications/previous experience):

• Degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Three year’s minimum experience in a systems role with a good mix of technology skills.
• Ability to work on own initiative, or at direction of US team.
• Support: 7×24 required
