Position: UI Designer

Term: 1 year fixed term contract

Objective of the Role
We are currently recruiting for the role of UI Designer in Dublin to work within an internally focused Programme within our company. The role will have a focus on UI design, leading to development. In the role, the candidate will be responsible for creating and developing screen designs, storyboards, site maps and other necessary front-end assets for the launch of new products. You will also play a key part in the ongoing maintenance and development of internal processes within the Programme.
Duties and Responsibilities
The key functions of the role include:
- You must work as a team with Product Management, take design concepts, apply them over a range of products and create optimised files and specifications for IT Engineering.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of the fundamentals of user interface design and experience within user-centred design methods
- Development of prototypes – wireframes, storyboards, flow diagrams and clickable prototypes Defending concepts and negotiating successful compromises between multiple project stakeholders
- Assisting with the production of marketing collateral and training material Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate would be an UI or graphic designer who has worked on web based UI’s in a product environment.
- You will have a good understanding of HTML, CSS and design software.
- Knowledge of financial systems and CRM type applications (including workflow design) would be an advantage as well as dealing with sensitive information and various security measures/standards.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- 4+ years UI design with a proven record of successful design and implementation of CRM type solutions and also an exposure to software development Degree level in relevant discipline Ability to work collaboratively with product management and engineering teams
- Strong knowledge of web standards and cross-browser compatibility
- Good knowledge, at a minimum, of HTML, CSS, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Flash, Adobe Flex and GWT Keen attention to detail Initiative to work independently & proactively on project activities
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organisational and documentation abilities
- Common sense with a proven track record of delivery
- Must be flexible and adaptable to a changing work environment and business needs
