Job Title: TV Product Manager
Department: Sales & Marketing Department
Overall Objectives of the Job:
• Develop an optimal digital television product experience for customers
• Define local requirements relating to the portfolio of services as developed by European development teams
• Provide input into TV development roadmap
• Champion the end consumer DTV customer experience
• Champion the TV product to internal teams (Sales, Marcoms, Customer Care and Senior Management) and external audiences (PR, Social Media etc)
• Work closely with all parties involved in launching products to the end consumer including corporate marketing and development teams, and local engineering & project teams

Key Responsibilities:
• Product Definition: Preparation of Marketing Service Descriptions and Change Request documents defining requirements for new TV products and enhancements including product overview, functionality and user interface.
• Product Design: Localising new versions of the Electronic Programme Guide as developed by the European Corporate Development teams, specifying the user interface and language requirements for the Irish market.
• Localisation of end user documentation, manuals and online product content.
• Support Head of TV in the preparation of business cases for new products and services.
• Championing the TV product to internal teams (Sales, Marcoms, Customer Care and Senior Management) and external audiences (PR, Social Media etc).
• Subject matter expert on competitor products.
• Support Engineering teams in collating data on potential product usability improvements and champion ongoing product improvements with engineering & development teams.
• Ensure highest levels of product knowledge and advocacy among employees.
• Brief the product detail for all marketing activities and sign off copy.
• Work closely with the Engineering & Development teams to bring products and enhancements through the local testing and implementation phases to market on schedule.
Personnel Specification
Qualifications / Education
Essential:
• 3rd level qualification in an engineering or business related discipline and/or 3 years recent experience in a similar role.
Experience
Essential:
• 3 years + product management & development experience in consumer technology, ideally the TV industry
• A clear vision on how to optimise acquisition, loyalty and retention with interactive/enhanced television.
• Demonstrated success in defining requirements, user interface design and launching products
• Strong commercial acumen & a customer champion by nature.
• Excellent knowledge of TV products & understanding of TV market in Ireland.
• Track record of effectively delivering results within tight timelines and to a consistently high standard.
• Ability to influence effectively at all levels within the business.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced computer literacy, advanced modelling and spreadsheet skills.
