Becoming a Systems Administrator with Capita Managed IT Solutions:
Capita Managed IT Solutions are currently on the market to recruit two Tier 2 Systems Administrators. As a member of our Sys Admin team you will form part of the escalation structure for all technical support issues relating to infrastructure across a wide range of customer environments. You will act as a key point of contact for the Service Desk in both receiving escalations and where appropriate providing guidance and instruction.

What you will do:
* You will be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of systems hardware and related infrastructure within the datacentre.
* Remote management and support of a wide variety of customer environments, responding to reported incidents (both proactive and reactive) and driving resolution to meet agreed SLA’s
* Escalation of technical issues with 3rd parties/vendors via agreed support mechanisms and progressing to resolution.
* Identification and escalation of (potential) service issues with designated service delivery/client management
* Identify areas of continuous improvement, providing suggestions for their introduction
* Participate in technical research and development to enable continued innovation within the infrastructure
Your experience will include:
* Microsoft Windows server operating systems up to Server 2016
* Microsoft Windows domain infrastructure design, components, structures and principles
* Exchange 2013/2016, Messaging & Office 365
* Support and administration of hypervisor solutions, including either VMWare or Hyper-V
* Support and administration of backup solutions, including one or more from the following: Backup Exec, Commvault, Netbackup
* Support and administration of Citrix XenApp
* Support and administration of Anti-Virus solutions, in particular Symantec Endpoint Protection
* Able to establish credibility with customers
* Ability to analyse technical problems and deliver solutions
* Awareness of ITIL principles
Desired knowledge and experience:
* Veeam administration, replication and failover
* Support of Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2014
* Support and administration of Symantec Enterprise Vault
* ITIL v3 Foundation
* MCITP Certified
* CCA qualifications for XenApp and/or Access Gateway/ Netscaler
