Our client is a leading international financial services company with offices worldwide and an IT centre in County Clare. They are seeking a Test Team Lead to join their test team on a temporary 6-9 month basis to cover maternity leave. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a test environment in a busy financial company within easy commuting distance of Limerick city.
(Note: This is a fixed term temporary position with a pro rata salary. It is not a daily rate contract)
Role
As a Team Lead you will:
– plan and execute in system and acceptance testing
– assign tasks to the test team members
– be responsible for recommending the adoption of new test automation solutions to management. You will develop test strategies and frameworks
– devise quality metrics, making them available to all stakeholders, and track these metrics
– work closely with the end users to ensure that software solutions are optimised for their needs
– liaise with multiple teams to set up and maintain test environment.
Skills and Experience
Candidates for this role should have:
At least five years' experience in a software test role and experience with:
– leading teams of software testers
– creating test documentation to IEEE 829 specification
– incident management systems such as Jira
– test case management systems such as Quality Centre
– automated test tools
– continuous process improvement initiatives (TPI, TMM etc)
– general process improvement and quality initiatives such as CMMi, Six Sigma or ISO 9002.
Experience of working in financial services and knowledge of client/server testing, file interface formats (xml, web services etc) would be an advantage.
