Test Manager

Position: IT Applications / Operations Manager

Location: North East

Experienced IT Applications or IT Operations Manager required for leading multinational based in the North East.

This position will be responsible for leading technical teams in the translation of client requirements to provide the best possible technology solutions and experience for the customer. This role will require a strong people manager to lead and inspire a team of 10+ to deliver a software related / web based product of the highest quality.

Other Responsibilities:

Responsible for ensuring that all assignments and projects are completed within a timely manner
Developing program implementation plans and participating in cross-functional discussion as required.
Monitoring performance of technical teams and providing guidance for individual improvement and growth.
Implementing process improvements to increase productivity and efficiency.
Participation in global team projects.
Participating in recruitment, selection and development as well as performing team performance reviews.

Requirements:

B.Sc in Computer Science or equivalent is required.
Strong people management experience – capable of communicating and motivating technical teams to achieve results.
Proven ability to manage a variety complex projects simultaneously.
Strong technical ability – MS Project, MS-DOS, Windows OS, Visual Studio, HTML, XML etc.
Must have a positive attitude and the ability to implement creative and innovative work practices.
The ability to interact with global teams – experience managing global teams remotely is a plus.
