Based in Lisburn

Our client a leading manufacturing organisation based in Lisburn, are seeking to recruit an experienced Electronics/Test Engineer to join a strong engineering development team involved in the design and development of the next generation of new and exciting monitoring instruments used within the power and utilities industry.

This role will involve using the latest and most effective technologies being developed within the market place
You will join the engineering department to develop new and innovative products to expand the clients current portfolio of high specialised technology and your duties will include

Essential Criteria:-
* Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualification and experience
* Proven experience in the design and test of analog and digital electronic systems
* LabVIEW with Teststand is essential as is knowledge of MODBUS, CANBUS and SPI communications and control of instruments over GPIB, RS232 and Ethernet interfaces.
* The candidate should have a good working knowledge of C programming, NI Teststand, source code control systems and VBA programming.
* Strong written and verbal communication ability is essential for this position.

Desirable:-
* >5 years experience
* Experience designing sensors and instrumentation
* Experience developing High Voltage and Low Voltage systems
* Experience working in the power/utilities industry
* Experience in the specification and execution of formal test plans
* Experience FPGA testing and boundary scanning.
* Experience testing of RTOS (real time operating systems) and firmware validation is desirable.
* Knowledge or experience of SQL/MySQL database development.
* Use of DIAdem or other advanced data reporting tool.
