Our client currently has an opening for a Test Analyst position in Cork. This is a contract role with a Daily rate applying.

The overall objective of this assignment is the testing and validation of new features and improvements.
In response to this objective, the client requires that a Test Analyst be engaged with overall responsibility for the writing and execution of the test scripts.
The critical components of the role are:
a) effectively working with the developers to identify priorities and test focus
b) acting as testing advocate for the team and
c) building confidence in the test process
Working proactively and quickly identifying and reporting risks & issues to the team is key: willingness to take on responsibility and follow through on test related initiatives is essential in this role.
This is a system testing role and requires hands-on technical testing using knowledge of SQL scripting, web components, testing tools and structured exploratory techniques to deliver value.
1. Exploratory testing and Unit testing – working closely with developers to prioritise and maximise the effectiveness of this effort
2. Writing System Test Scripts in line with SDLC, CSV and GxP Standards appropriate to the project
3. Execution of Dry Run Test Cycles and finalisation of Test Scripts leading to sign-off and approval
4. Execution of IOQ/System Test – working closely with CSV to ensure that all regulatory, compliance and GxP deliverables meet requirements and expectations.
5. Complete all test related validation documents including Test Protocols, RTM
6. Create defect reports and escalate to the developer/vendor : Retest defect fixes
7. Attend and participate fully in project meetings
8. Provide test expertise to the project team, particularly in terms of risk-based approach to testing
9. Perform ad-hoc testing of the applications
