JOB TITLE: Network Support Engineer – Contract position
REPORTS TO: Team Lead Network Operations EMEIA
FUNCTION/DEPARTMENT: Operations
LOCATION: Cork, Ireland
PURPOSE:
Work as part of the Network Services team with responsibility for day to day user support and troubleshooting.
The role is based in Clonakilty, Co. Cork. There will be a certain amount of overseas travel included for this role and a requirement for on-call duties.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• User Support
Utilising your expertise in Microsoft Windows & Office supporting PGi EMEIA users with IT related issues.
• Provide accurate, professional, and effective support of our IT Systems
Troubleshooting technical problems as an escalation point and providing resolutions in a timely manner
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
3+ years’ experience in a professional IT user support/network support role
• Microsoft Certified Professional
• Desktop & Laptop hardware experience
• Windows 7 & Office 2010 knowledge
• Network Knowledge e.g. TCPIP v4 routing.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Problem resolution skills
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
• Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines
• Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
• Ability and flexibility to perform all other job-related and ad-hoc duties as required
