Technical Writer Limerick
We are a leading USA hi-tech software firm with a significant presence in Limerick City. Due to ongoing expansion we are now hiring for the position of Technical Writer. Role:
Create, develop, plan, write, and edit material for our software products, including installation, user, and reference materials, for both technical and non-technical users. Perform various technical writing tasks on multi-level complex documentation projects that require effective planning, scheduling, research and writing. Assist less experienced writers with style and technical issues. You will research, design, schedule and write user documentation that is technically accurate and conforms to corporate style and production requirements.
You will also be involved in researching the marketing and business requirements for our core software products, including the target audience, and competitive issues. You will also mentor and train less experienced technical writers as needed.

Knowledge and Skills Required:
You should have a primary degree in a relevant subject area such as Communications, technical writing, journalism, English etc and have a minimum of four years of increasingly responsible technical writing job experience. You should have expertise in DTP tools such as Adobe FrameMaker. As the company develops a software product you should be familiar with software development cycles and methodologies (e.g. SCRUM, AGILE etc) and using project documents as source material.
You should have excellent time management skills with the ability to accurately estimate task duration and meet schedules for multiple projects and have the ability to edit own work and the work of other writers.
