The Role:
Develop information content and documentation for Tivoli software products.
Requirements:
Applicant needs to be proficient in English and in creating clear, task-oriented technical information that meets audience needs.
Candidate must have experience in designing information, conducting interviews with subject matter experts, and evaluating information.
Expertise with mark-up languages such DITA, HTML and XML are required as well as skills in creating topic-based information.
Expertise needed with one or more content authoring tools including Epic Editor, Framemaker or other tag-based authoring tools.
Candidate must have strong technical skills and must be able to install and configure products on Windows and one or more Unix/Linux platforms.
Expertise on the z/OS platform as well as experience with programming languages, relational databases and systems management software is a plus.
Must have a strong sense of initiative, be a self-starter, and have strong project management skills.
The ability to work well with local and remote teams including other writers, developers, testers, and support engineers is also needed.
Education:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Technical Communications, Technical Writing with course work in Computer Science preferred.
