Technical Consultant

Facebook is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to assist our most strategic advertising clients in integrating or using Facebook’s technical product offerings, including Pages and Facebook Platform.

You will work closely with our Business Development, Sales, Engineering, and Product Management teams and will have a direct impact on Facebook’s company goals and future technical product suite. You will engage clients’ business and technical teams and be able to leverage Facebook’s world-class Engineering team to assist in troubleshooting deep, technical solutions with clients. The ideal candidate will have exceptional technical aptitude, confident presentation & verbal skills, and will be comfortable in high pressure, high demand situations.

Responsibilities

-Build and maintain relationships with client technical teams pre and sometimes post launch
-Write technical documentation for API features
-Troubleshoot client issues in real time
-Provide detailed feedback on bugs or client issues
-Work closely with Facebook Product and Engineering teams to align products with demonstrated market needs
-Work closely with Facebook Sales and Business Development teams to identify and engage new business opportunities
-Develop strong relationships with various teams within Facebook

Requirements

-BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent
-2+ years of technical sales or application development experience
-Client-facing experience, must have the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
-Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams
-Outstanding written and oral communication skills
-Detailed knowledge of Web-related technologies (HTTP/HTML, XML, REST, DNS, TCP/IP…).
– Ability to write and read some code: PHP, Python, Javascript, HTML preferred
-Experience with relational databases, MySQL preferred
-Proficient in a Unix/Linux environment
-Must be proactive, self-directed, detailed, and organized
-Excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrated multi-tasking ability
