A Technical Consultant (Microsoft) is sought to join one of the fastest growing IT software & services companies in the UK & Ireland. The company has extensive experience of working with organisations in private, public & not for profit sectors as well as in-depth industry expertise in regulated environments, health & education.
As a Technical Lead, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a technical team providing infrastructure design & installation services for solutions deployed on Microsoft Windows Servers. You will also be involved with infrastructure projects such as building hosting environments for specific clients or applications.
Other responsibilities include:
– Quoting & delivering change requests for existing solutions
– Investigation, diagnosis & resolution of incidents which have been escalated
– Assist in design & costing solutions
– Manage schedule of activities between technical team & project manager or client
– Plan & setup maintenance schedules
– Prepare handover to support including a fully documented system operation procedures
– Provide 3rd level tech support
Requirements:
5 years min working with the following Microsoft products:
– Microsoft Windows Server 2008 / 2012
– Microsoft SQL Server & SQL Reporting Services
– Microsoft System Centre 2012
– Microsoft AD & ADFS
BSc in Computer Science or equivalent
Previous hands-on experience as Technical Consultant / Technical Lead
This position will mainly involve working in the office in Belfast, but you must be prepared /& flexible to work on site as & when required.
